Introduction to Bitcoin

Bitcoin is a decentralized system of money - a cryptocurrency - that uses fundamental cryptography to secure assets (BTC coins) in a decentralized ledger without requiring any intermediary. Unlike traditional fiat currencies controlled by central banks and governments, Bitcoin is governed by code, mathematics, and cryptography, making it resistant to censorship, corruption, and interference from any single entity.
